The Loring Park squirrels now have a friend: a wild turkey.

The turkey was spotted in a tree next to the T.Building on Spruce Place mid-afternoon Saturday, April 2, 2011.

The bird appeared to be a full-grown turkey in good condition.

It is not clear why the bird was in the tree, though public safety did take a few photos, but didn’t cite the bird.
