King Birthday Tribute Confronts Next Generation

January 15, 2008-In the Basilica of Saint Mary, Minneapolis Community and Technical College (MCTC) presented “Celebrate the Dream”, marking the school’s 18th annual birthday tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Dr. king is the charismatic figure revered nationally an internationally for his contributions to the Civil Rights movement up until his 1968 assassination.

Seascape

Sand flies up into the air, sending the front row of the audience to the backs of their seats. Two giant Lizards have emerged from behind a rock face and are poised to attack a middle-aged married couple resting on a beach. The drip-drip-dripping of a far-off water fountain is audible from the back of the theatre, creating a paradoxically calm mood to this scene of terror.
