OBAMA VISITS MINNEAPOLIS

The Target Center exceeded her dimensions on Saturday, February 2, as over 20,000 Minnesotans convened to endorse Democratic Presidential Candidate, Senator Barack Obama. “We have over 600 volunteers,” accounted Precinct Captain and Minnesota alum, Aaron Spading.

Now a landmark federal law that requires colleges and universities to disclose certain timely and annual information.

First Time Voters Fill Caucus Training Session

With one week to go before the February 5 Minnesota caucus, MCTC students showed up in large numbers for a caucus training seminar put on by the school’s political science club. The hour long tutorial featured a power point walk through of voting procedure as well as an interactive mock caucus for students.

Travel to Outer-Space Standing in one Place

Lights, camera, action is the name of the game! Except this time the lights are stars. Not like Brittany Spears but like giant balls of flaming gasses millions of light years away that will be seen in an “ExploraDome” (a portable planetarium) right here at MCTC in the lunch room on February 20th.

Want to participate in Minnesota’s precinct caucuses on February 5th but are confused by the complicated rules and procedures of a caucus? Do you want to vote but just don’t know where you’re supposed to go to vote? Are you not sure you even know what a caucus is?

Don’t worry, MCTC’s political science club, the Party, will help answer all your caucus related queries.

A diverse crowd steadily permeates Ted Mann Concert Hall, milling over a display spanning across four states and over the course of two decades as it traces the life of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The display, in correspondence with the 27th annual “From Every Voice” concert on January 20, pays tribute to the accomplishments of Dr.

RATE to host MCTC Tech Fair

One Monday afternoon I found myself in the cramped quarters of a conference room where Realizing Abilities Through Education’s (RATE) cabinet members continued pushing for more clarity, organizing resources both material and human, temporal and spatial. All this was anticipating the Technology Fair, in planning stages since Fall 2007.
