It seems as though it was a million years ago. I must have been about 19 years old and it was my first day in college. I was very shy at that time, and a bit anxious about meeting so many new people and navigating around the unfamiliar school. I was a few minutes early for my first class so I thought I’d slip into the ladies room.
According to the March of Dimes, at least 10% of pregnant women smoke. What an astonishing statistic! By now everyone in the developed world understands the harmful effects of smoking.
Minneapolis Community and Technical College is renowned in Minneapolis for its diverse student body and wide range of offered programs, including nursing, law enforcement, Sound Arts, Fine Arts, and many others. Yet walk through the halls, ride the elevators, and climb the stairs of MCTC, and you will see countless people carrying instrument cases, or even singing in the T-Building stairwell.
Since the invention of the first cigarette, there has been a great dialectic relationship between the smoker, and the non-smoker. The same undoubtedly holds true for MCTC.

The Vikings led by as as many as 10 during the first half, but the Mavs cut the lead to four at the half.
