MCTC recognizes student leaders

Applause and cheers filled the room for the Annual Student Life Leadership Awards on April 13, 2017.

Lunch was served to students and faculty at a ceremony to recognize leaders in the MCTC community, nominated by students, staff and faculty. A keynote speech, “Measuring Your Courageous Impact: Thoughtful Reflections for Social Change Leaders” was delivered by Saby Labor of Resilient Campus preceeded the ceremony. An open mic recognition followed the award ceremony, as well as a musical performance by Gathy Geist and Kati Kragtorp.

Student groups could be nominated for the following categories: Community Service, Campus Involvement, Outstanding Event of the Year, Emerging Group of the Year and Excellence in Leadership.

Students could be nominated for the following categories: Emerging Leader Award and Excellence in Leadership Award. Awards were also given to students who completed the Student Life Success Series, the Top Fitness Challenge Partcipants and in Recognition of the Student Senate Board.
