The Health Fair was held in the T Building Skyway on October 10, and topics ranged from aroma therapy, bicycle safety and chatting in sign language with the A.S.L. Club.
Many health clinics brought representatives such as Boynton Health (MCTC Health Services), North Point, Southside Community Health Services, Hennepin County, Red Door, and Planned Parenthood. Several of the clinics had heath coordinators who could help students to navigate through the MNSure to get health care coverage.
Three Rivers Park District, which is part of Minnesota DNR, passed out bicycle lights and maps that show biking routes throughout the Twin Cities.
MCTC nursing students had booths that tested people’s knowledge on different subjects, such as the effects of sun and skin cancer.
