Student Senate held their Executive Board elections for next academic year on April 22. Uncontested winners were Marisa Eigen (Director of Diversity) and Corinne Salone (Vice President). The MCTC Student Senate approved the Student Life budget for next academic year on April 22, which included a 50 cent increase to the Student Life fee, with a two-thirds majority vote. The increase created an additional $88,000 for the budget.

The Three-Legged Frog (TLF) club’s founders attended a lecture by environmental scientist and author William Souder. Motivated by his passions, TLF derived the name of their club from one of Souder’s books, in which Souder details the mystery of why some frogs have a defect that causes them to have an extra appendage. Biology instructor Cathy Geist took it upon herself to become the academic advisor of the group.

In an effort to break down barriers, the Inclusion Experience: Everyone Has a Story is an event that intends to engage conversation on identity and culture. The student-planned event is going to be held on Nov. 7, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the Multipurpose Room.
