The negotiations between MnSCU (Minnesota State Colleges and Universities) and MSCF (Minnesota State College Faculty) are at a standstill, as of Feb. 5, 2013.

Though news sources such as Star Tribune and Minnesota Public Radio have lauded a contract agreement (for 4-year universities), the negotiations continue between MnSCU and MSCF, with much exasperation.

“This bargaining has been prolonged; it is now being unnecessarily prolonged, in my view. It continues to be very difficult and frustrating. We will continue to bargain in good faith on behalf of the membership of MSCF,” Greg Mulcahy said to MSCF members via the negotiations hotline.

Settle-all packages offered to MSCF from MnSCU were rejected, and the settle-all from MSCF was, in turn, rejected by MnSCU. MSCF continues to reject MnSCU’s proposals.

“MnSCU refused our settlement, we refused their counter, they refused our counter. They don’t want to pay us as we deserve,” said the Twitter for MSCF (@MSCFMN).

As of Feb. 5, no further meetings have been scheduled.
