Students will be able to access the Intranet, a new campus tool, by the end of September.

Intranet, (<my.minneapolis.edu>), is a website separate from minneapolis.edu. When a student logs into Intranet with their StarID, they’ll have instant access to campus news and popular links such as e-services and D2L. According to Director of Marketing and Communications Dawn Skelly, the current minneapolis.edu is designed for prospective MCTC students. Intranet is designed for current students to access.

“We wanted to centralize all of the information that students need to be successful at MCTC in one location,” Skelly said.

Another function of Intranet is to have a place where Student Life clubs and organizations can have information about themselves and any upcoming events for students, with each one having their own page.

MCTC staff currently have their own version of Intranet, which has different functions than the student version. More features and applications will be added to Intranet in the future. Expect to hear more about Intranet from MCTC before the end of the month.
