Microsoft service, Office 365, is the new official email system being used at MCTC, replacing the Microsoft Live ID system used for years before.

Both new and returning students created a new school email account under Office 365 using their new StarID username.

When Office 365 was implemented at MCTC, returning students lost their emails from their Live ID account. Students also lost any files they had in their H Drive. Files and emails can be recovered by getting help from the computer lab in T.3200. If students don’t recover their old emails and files by November, they’ll be deleted permanently.

Tiffini Deeb, ITS Director of Technical Services, encourages students to activate their new emails.

“Email is the official communication of the school,” Deeb said. “That email is populated into D2L and that’s what professors use.”

An application is available for Office 365 on Apple and Android devices.
