The Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon happens every year on the first Sunday of October and passes by the MCTC campus. Last Sunday, Oct. 6, was the 32nd running
Approximately 12,000 people sign up every year, with around 8,000 who finish the race.
The race, which is considered “The Most Beautiful Urban Marathon in America,” runs from the Metrodome, in Minneapolis, to the Capitol Dome, in St. Paul.
Medtronic: Twin Cities was also the host of the USA Championships.
“We’re honored to host the USA Championships again and we’re excited to see how the races will play out,” Twin Cities In Motion Executive Director, Virginia Brophy Achman said. “Offering developmental and racing opportunities for American athletes is part of our mission at Twin Cities In Motion. We’re glad to partner with USA Track And Field in that effort.”
Nicholas Arciniaga gave a spectacular performance throughout the race with a time of 2:13:12. Along with Arciniaga, was Annie Bersagel, with 2:30:52.
